If you are a fan of music like I am, you are always looking for interesting and cool venues to check out live music, whether it's your favorite band or someone you just heard about.

Well, the folks of Bargemusic have come up with one of the most unique places you will ever see a performance.

You might wonder why they call it Bargemusic. Well, that's because it's on an actual barge. That's right. Bargemusic is moored just under the Brooklyn Bridge and plays host to some of the best classic music around.

You would think that a barge would be probably the worst place to see live music, but the Bargemusic crew has done an excellent job sprucing up the performance area so that the acoustics are as good as anywhere in the city.

The concert calendar is plenty diverse and you can expect all the big names to be covered as well.

I personally will be headed over there to check out the Sept. 16 performance of John Williams' "Schindler's List," Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue and Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 5 in D major, Op. 107 "Reformation."

I can't wait to check out the views of lower Manhattan, as well as hear some of my favorite classical music.

I'll be sure to report back my findings!

P.S. To get there, take the C train to High Street, the F train to York Street or the 2/3 train to Clark Street.
