Easy Low-Calorie And/or Low-Fat Desserts

To Satisfy that Sweet Tooth Without Expanding Your Waistline!

Angie Maddox
These are three of my favorite desserts that I fix for myself quite often. I have such a sweet tooth (as I think most of us do!), and trying to maintain a healthy weight can be difficult when you love sweets as much as I do. But these desserts are very flavorful, and I just love them. I hope you do too!

Cookies-N-Cream Pudding

One of my favorite foods in the whole world is Oreo cookies, and I love anything with that "cookies-n-cream" taste, and one day as I was craving my favorite snack, I decided to try this combination of food to see if it was as delicious as I had hoped! And it is!! Now I can have that Oreo taste, without indulging in the actual cookies themselves, which I can NEVER just eat what the serving size suggests.

½ 100-calorie pack of Oreo thin crisps, crushed to crumbs

1 sugar free vanilla pudding snack (or 1 serving of sugar free vanilla pudding)

2 tablespoons fat free Reddi-Whip

Mix pudding and thin crisp crumbs. Top with the fat free Reddi-Whip. Enjoy!

Raspberry White Chocolate Cheesecake Yogurt

I have always loved yogurt, and after being on Weight Watchers for the last few months, I have found that my favorite kind of yogurt is the Weight Watchers brand yogurts. I love their texture the best and they have so many delicious flavors to choose from, including several cheesecake varieties!

1 Weight Watchers brand white chocolate cheesecake yogurt

1 tablespoon sugar free raspberry preserves

Mix both ingredients together until the preserves are well incorporated in the yogurt. Enjoy!

Ice Cream Sundae

Sometimes finding fat free AND sugar free ice cream can be hard to do sometimes (if you don't know where to look!), but I usually get the Great Value brand at Wal-Mart. It's only 160 calories for a cup, and of course there is no fat. I also really like the texture and the flavor a whole lot (probably even as much as I like regular ice cream!), and this sundae is absolutely delicious, without all the guilt of eating a regular ice cream sundae!

1 cup fat free/sugar free vanilla ice cream

2 tablespoons of your favorite sugar free preserves, such as strawberry or raspberry

2 tablespoons fat free Reddi-Whip

Put ice cream in a bowl. Top with the preserves and the fat free Reddi-Whip. Enjoy!
