Easy Pot Roast in Your Crock Pot

A. Giovanni
This is the easiest home cooked meal in a crock pot you can make and it won't be gone in just a few bites So, you can not only save time, but stretch your budget, too.

You crock pot is your best friend if you are short on time. Prepare this recipe the night before and have roast beef for lunch. Or, put it in the crock pot early in the morning before you go to work and come home to a home cooked meal. It will seem as if someone else had been slaving away in the kitchen.

Select lean pot roast between 1 1/2 and 2 pounds.

Place the roast in the crock pot and cover it with water.

Add your favorite seasonings for beef. I like to add about a tablespoon of chili powder and a two tablespoons of sea salt.

Optionally, add 1/2 sliced onion.

After your roast has cooked for about 8 hours, peel a few potatoes and carrots and place them in the pot whole.

Cook on medium to high.

This is a great meal any time of year. It is warm and comforting in the winter and it won't heat up your kitchen in the summer time.

Save left overs to make vegetable beef soup or sandwiches.
