Easy and Quick Spam and Fried Rice Recipe

An Inexpensive yet Filling Meal

Spam, One of those products that you can do almost anything with. It has also been the butt of many jokes, but considering how long its been around, it seems it is here to stay. Spam and fried rice is just one of hundreds of ways you can use Spam. Using a little imagination Spam recipes can take you a long way. Its great for college kids living in a dorm without much kitchen to work with or pantry to store food.

Spam and Fried Rice Recipe

Ingredients:

7oz can of SPAM
4 cups of cooked rice (preferably a day old)
4 eggs
Butter/oil for cooking
1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup celery, finely chopped
1 Clove of garlic, finely chopped
1 Small Green pepper, finely chopped

Directions:

In a wide frying pan, add oil/butter and heat until a drop of water sizzles. Saute together the onion, celery, garlic and pepper. Do not overcook, it tastes best if there's a little crisp to them still. While this is cooking, cut the Spam into cubes, whatever size you prefer, but small to medium works best for cooking evenly. Now add the Spam cubes to the vegetable mixture and cook until browned. Add the rice on top and crack in eggs. Stir lightly to ensure all ingredients are evenly spread out. Cook until the eggs in the mixture are done to your preference.

Enjoy! From beginning perperation to the time your Spam and Fried Rice is on the table should be no more than thirty minutes tops, an that is being generous. This Spam and Fried Rice recipe is delicious and easy and leaves room for creativity. Add a little something here, take out a little something there. Have fun with this and maybe even create your very own spam recipe.
