Marinated Shark Steaks
2 lbs shark steaks
½ cup white wine
¼ cup salad oil
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
Place shark in a flat dish. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over shark. Marinate at least one hour in the refrigerator. Remove fish from marinade and grill, 4 minutes per side, until shark flakes easily. Serves 6.
Deep Fried Shark
2 lbs shark fillets
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon white pepper
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup water
1 tablespoon vinegar
Oil
Cut shark into 1-inch cubes. Mix flour, salt, pepper, and baking powder and slowly add water and vinegar. Let stand 15 minutes. Heat oil 425 degrees. Dip pieces of fish into batter and fry several pieces at a time until brown.
Barbecued Shark Steaks
4 thick shark steaks
2 large onions, chopped
2 cups hickory-smoked barbecue sauce
1⁄2 cup pineapple juice
1⁄2 cup orange juice
1 cup cider vinegar
2 tablespoons olive oil
Chop onions very fine and sauté them in a little olive oil on stove top until they are cooked and translucent. Let cool then put onions (with oil) in a large bowl and combine with all other ingredients to make a marinade (mix well). Pour marinade over shark steaks and refrigerate. Marinate shark at least 3 hours. Grill over medium high heat until fish is done. Serves 2.

I love shark, especially when it's cooked properly. I can only get it at Kroger around here when the mercury levels are down. These recipes sound great!
