Abstract Sand Craft
Cardboard or tag board
White glue
Sand (one color or multi-color)
This easy and simple sand craft can be made by kids of all ages. Using a heavy cardboard or tag board, have the child pour glue in a random or non-linear manner all over the cardboard or tag board. Sprinkle one color or multiple colors of sand on to the wet glue making sure that the glue is completely covered with sand. Make sure the abstract sand craft project is laying flat and allow time for the glue to dry until it is hardened. Once the glue is hardened, shake excess sand off into a container to save for a future project. A fun extension to do with this sand arts and crafts project is to do a paper rubbing of the design.

Here you will find a super easy and fun sand craft for kids that also make a wonderful gift. Fill a jar about one third full of sand, press a few shells into the sand, roll up a post-it note and tie with string to make a scroll, add a photo of the child (the photo may need to be mounted on cardboard for more firmness) and press into the sand so the photo is standing up. Place lid on the jar and tie ribbon or twine around the lid, this easy sand craft makes a great Mother's Day gift or for any other special occasions. This sand craft is another easy craft for kids that also make an excellent gift. Fill baby food jar approximately half way full with sand, place candle inside the jar making sure to press securely in the sand. Add a ribbon around the main section of the baby food jar, small shells placed inside the baby food jar are optional
