1 lb. Green Beans
1 clove Garlic (finely chopped)
1 Small Onion (finely chopped)
1 Can (14 oz.) Crushed Tomatoes
1 tbsp. Olive Oil (or Canola Oil)
1/4 tsp. Dried Basil
1/8 tsp. Pepper

Rinse your green beans under cool water to clean. Then, cut or snap the ends off of each green bean (small green beans can be cooked as they are - larger green beans should be cut in half). TIP: If you prefer, you can remove the beans from the green bean pods and cook just the beans.2
Heat and Add
In a large skillet, pour in your oil and heat over medium. Add in the onion and garlic for about 5 minutes until they turn slightly golden and become soft. Then, stir in the tomatoes, pepper, and basil - stirring frequently for about 2 more minutes.3
