Ingredients

Serves 4
1 lb. Green Beans
1 clove Garlic (finely chopped)
1 Small Onion (finely chopped)
1 Can (14 oz.) Crushed Tomatoes
1 tbsp. Olive Oil (or Canola Oil)
1/4 tsp. Dried Basil
1/8 tsp. Pepper

Prepare
Rinse your green beans under cool water to clean. Then, cut or snap the ends off of each green bean (small green beans can be cooked as they are - larger green beans should be cut in half). TIP: If you prefer, you can remove the beans from the green bean pods and cook just the beans.

Heat and Add
In a large skillet, pour in your oil and heat over medium. Add in the onion and garlic for about 5 minutes until they turn slightly golden and become soft. Then, stir in the tomatoes, pepper, and basil - stirring frequently for about 2 more minutes.

Add
Add in the green beans and stir frequently until they are completely coated with the tomato mix. Cover and cook for about 6-8 more minutes until the green beans become tender. Enjoy!
