Easy Spring Hair Styles

Hair styling can be an every day battle for many females and males alike. Whether your hair is short or long, thick or fine, curly or straight, mastering your hair and styling it into perpetually "good hair day" styles is a challenge at best. However, fortunately, there exist a few "fall-back" hair styles that look good on just about everyone. Try one of these stylish spring hair-dos for a quick and easy way out of a bad hair day.

1. Classic bun: When in doubt, a classic bun can be the perfect hair style for just about any occasion. While Guido Palau may be styling his models with straight center parts, a side part will tend to look more universally pleasing and classy for most head shapes. Once you've parted your hair down into a moderate side part, sweep the rest of your hair into a low knot towards the nape of your neck. Secure loosely with a hair elastic and bobby pins or clips as needed. For a relaxed and yet elegant look, keep your hair fairly loose; do not pull your hair tightly back or use a lot of hair spray unless you wish to appear like a ballet dancer.

2. Pin-up Curls: Perfect for longer hair, pin up curls are a fun way to combine twirled locks with a mock-classic pin up style. For this style, use a small-medium sized barrel to curl all of your hair loosely. Next, sweep the top portion/layer of these curls to one side of your hair (the same way as your hair parts) and pin up the other side of your hair into small twisted hair knots using bobby pins. This classy, asymmetric style is a simple, unique, and fun hair style for both formal and casual events alike.

3. Turban-it. (Or headband it, or hat-it...or whatever other hair/head accessory that you can whip out of your closet...). The current wintry weather combined with the soon-to-be spring winds can make maintaining any hair style all day a difficult task. This is where trendy ear wraps, hats, headbands, and "turbans" come in handy. Instead of spraying gallons of hairspray onto your locks only to watch them unravel in the wind, try tossing one of these cute head accessories on. It'll keep you warm and stylish, while preserving your hair style at the same time. In order to appear well-kept and not slovenly, you may wish to curl the ends of your hair peaking out of your cap. Since the cap/head accessory should hold your hair closer to your head/neck, the wind will not be able to toss is around as easily, thus preserving its curls.
