Strawberry Creme Gummy Candy
First to get the layered effect we'll start with the darkest layer.
I originally posted this over at NQCC but it works better here, I'm aiming to have most of the sweet recipes here, there's another version of this one I'll be posting up soon. These are simply amazing and actually good for you.
They aren't too filling and, as a bonus have the perfect texture and amount of give to them.
You Need:
- 9 Packets Unflavored Gelatin
- 2 Packets Strawberry Flavored Gelatin
- 1/3 Cup Water
- 2 Tablespoons Yogurt
- 1/3 Cup Orange Juice
- 1/3 Cup Strawberry Seltzer Water
- Saucepan
- StoveWire Whisk
- Non-Stick Pan
- Clear Spot in your fridge (or freezer) for the non-stick pan.
First to get the layered effect we'll start with the darkest layer.
- Turn your stove top to medium heat, the goal isn't to boil anything- just to help everything dissolve. Pour in your orange juice, 1 package of strawberry gelatin, and 3 packets of unflavored gelatin all into the saucepan.Give it all a good stir until all the powder is dissolved.
- When it is, pour the mix into your pan and put the whole thing into the fridge.Wait until that layer gets firm (about 5-10 minutes depending on thickness).
- Now, it's time for the middle layer. Simply repeat the the steps above for the seltzer, and pour.
- For the yogurt layer, whisk together the yogurt (you can add in more if you want) and some water. Pour it on top of the mix, again after your pan was in the fridge for a bit.
- Let the whole concoction stay in the fridge overnight (at the very least a couple of hours).
Cut them into whatever shapes you want and enjoy!
