So you scour the Internet in search of some good recipes, and you find them scattered all over the place. This is my BEST attempt to provide tailgaters with a bunch of recipes all in once place. First of all since I'm writing this article I do not want to totally cop-out and just give you all links to recipes. Here's some advice of my own.
SAUSAGE BALLS. They're easy to make and they will always be a hit at tailgating parties.
Ingredients: 1 LB Hot Sausage (there's no substitute for Jimmy Dean - it's the best)
2 cups of Bisquick biscuit mix (say that three times fast)
1 pkg sharp shredded cheese
Directions: Combine all ingredients with hands, shape into small balls and bake at 350 on cookie sheet for 15-20 minutes. May need to add just a little milk to help mix. Wrap in aluminum foil to keep hot and take with you to the game.
The things I like to remember when tailgating is to keep things relatively simple. You're going to be drinking and enjoying football and good company, not having a high-end dinner with debutantes. Cold beer, soft drinks and bottled water do the trick. You do not need a bunch of mixed drinks. Also, you do not have to make shrimp brochette, though if you do I will come eat some from your tent. But seriously, keep the meats to hamburger patties and hot dogs and your expenses are lower and they are completely satisfying on game day.
Now. The reason you came here was for recipes, not to listen to my babble.
Here are some recipes sent in to this particular website from tailgaters themselves:

There are tons of websites out there with tailgating recipes, but hopefully I have provided fellow football fans with a list in which they can quickly access and refer to in order get ideas at the drop of a hat, and hopefully impress their friends and cohorts with solid food to go along with a phenomenal football season.

This is going to sound completely ignorant but as someone who knows absolutely nothing about sports, i really just cant help but ask: People don't really really ever just stay in the parking lot tailgating the whole time instead of going in do they? Are there groups of tailgate party hoppers around who wander from social circle to social circle getting free booze, an array of intersting foods, etc or am i being ridiculous? That would be hilarious if people really did this- in fact, i think you should make a movie based on that theme- a group of friends who get their kicks from crashing tailgating parties. ha, well at least i crack myself up! after all that, great article, you sparked my interest and im not even a sports fan
Thanks for these. My husband has a super bowl party every year, and I wonder if he would like something other than the usualy chips and dip this year.
I love those sausage balls - I never thought of it as tailgate food.
