Easy Tips on How to Remove Stains from Elbows

Some people have dark elbows while others don't. This is mainly because of hyper-pigmentation, or the production and concentration of melanin on an area of the body such as the elbows, knees, and underarms. Dark elbows can be attributed to genes, but another cause of stains on the elbows includes too much exposure to the sun. These dark stains are sometimes accompanied by calluses. This can cause people with elbow stains a bit of a worry. They tend to become conscious with how the elbow stains stand out. Just how does one remove stains from elbows?

There are actually things you can do to remove stains from elbows, even while staying at home. You can treat those stains with things you can easily find in the kitchen. One such treatment includes orange fruit. Slice the orange in half and soak each of the dark elbows for about 15 minutes and let this dry for another 15 minutes or so. After that, cleanse the elbow with warm water and gently dry on a towel. Do this every day and you should get some results.

Another simple solution you can try is lemons or limes. Cut in half a lemon or a lime and rub each half to each elbow. Leave the juice to dry for about 30 minutes. Afterwards wash off with war water and rub gently with a towel. Doing this daily can achieve results too. The acidic content of orange, lemons and limes have a bleaching effect and help to remove stains from elbows.

One ingredient in your kitchen can also be used to remove stains from elbows: turmeric powder. Make a paste from turmeric powder, milk, and flour all in equal parts. Apply this paste to your elbows and let dry for 30 minutes. Repeat this everyday. To remove the paste, scrub your elbows gently using warm water. Doing this helps remove the dead skin cells at the same time remove stains from elbows.

Doing the above tips should help remove stains from elbows and doing them daily will help keep those stains off for a long period.
