Complete Steps To Finding And Replacing Words:
1. Go to Start, All Programs, and then find Microsoft Word and click on it to open it. You can chose to use the Search option on your computer to find this program or to find out if you have it, in the case that it's not in the location I mentioned above.
2. Once you're there, you can type the text you want, or you can chose to open an existing document already to change some words or find some on it. Finding keywords is also something that you should do.
3. Once you have done this, you will click on Edit on the top menu, and then scroll down and find Replace.
Tip: Sometimes your pull-down menus don't completely open up and so you have to click on the double down arrows to be able to view it all.
4. A window with 3 tabs will then open and you will be able to find certain words and replace them there. Using the first or second tab.
Note: The third tab can be used for further research inside your documents.
5. Chose what words you want to find, chose what you want to replace them/it with and then hit the button that fits what you want to do. You can chose to Replace, Replace All, Find Next, or if you don't want to actually go through with replacing what you typed in you can click Cancel.
Now that you have learned how to replace certain words in your documents using Microsoft Word, go on and replace whatever it is you wanted to replace in the text you typed or opened up. You should also go searching for words that you might have used too often and use synonyms instead; to avoid using the same words throughout your article.
Tip: Finding synonyms to words isn't difficult, point your mouse onto the word you would want to change, right click, and then chose Synonyms. This should bring up a couple of synonyms for the word you pointed too.
