Head piece: Traditional added to Store Bought
1. Purchase a plain veil, head piece frame, or shoes, or for your hair that is the color and material that matches your gown.
2. Ask relatives and friend if you can have rosettes, ribbons, threads,or other embellishments from their gown to put on yours. These give you
tradition and meaning to a store bought gown, veil, and/or head piece.
3. Attach these gifts individually or in clusters with a tiny stitch or two that can be removed easily but remain stable during ceremony.
These little gifts put meaning in your attire that not only represent your theme of your wedding but belong to love ones present or not.
4. After the reception detach these little meaningful pieces of tradition and make a scrapbook page of your ceremony with them.
5. Send all those you gave you an embellishment to wear a scrapbook page with their gift attached.
For the Groom: Traditional added to Store Bought
1. Indentify your ancestors heritage and purchase tiny leaves and or flowers to make your own boutinaire for your suit or tux.
2. Give your best man and ushers... one small boutinaire that represents your reason for choosing them to share in your ceremony.
3. After you gather the tiny leaves or flowers or embellishments attach them together with floral tape so they can be pinned on to clothing
4. During the reception when its your turn to throw the garter then hand your embellished brotherhood self made boutiere's to whoever is
the eldest male and the youngest male to represent the connection of ancestry and descendants memories as thank you's.
Mother and Father of the Bride and Groom: Handmake a craft they taught you when they raised you and present it to them individually at the
reception. Ideas; handprints of you and your bride side by side, mobile or collage of their wedding, or your birth together with reception pictures.
Maid of Honor and Best Man: During the reception hand them a scrapbook page of your times together that includes a wedding picture of the
wedding party and an invitation to visit you after your honeymoon.
Bridesmaids: As a thank you handmake coupons for them that gives them free lunches with you, a free babysittier for the night or a promise to make
special meaningful embellishments for their wedding ceremony.
Guests at the Wedding: When the ushers or greeters first see them arrive at your wedding give them a token of your love and appreciate for
attending your wedding such as a tiny thank you card or a special message care handwritten by the newly partnered or married couple.
Children attending the wedding: Have a special table set up with coloring books and washable crayons, soft toys to hold and play with,
and their own table for finger foods, juice bottles, and napkins. Include their own chairs and have someone serve as their mentor to interact with them.
