Before installing the car stereo system in your car, you should be aware of the method to install it to get the proper results. First Step: You should buy a car stereo system for your car to suit your requirements as well as the make and model of car so that it can be fixed in the slots and the space provided for the system and its speakers. You should also buy a wire connector to suit the make and model of car and the car stereo system. Your task will become easier using the wire harness. You will also get an instruction guide for making the connections.
Second Step: Insert the wiring harness on the backside of car stereo system to plug it in. Connect both positive and negative terminals from the speaker to backside of sound control to its output terminals. Ensure that there is no loose connection and connections are proper, otherwise speaker will not give any output or there may be distortion in audio.
Third Step: Now connect the ground wire from stereo, which is normally black, to the point near the dash board where the equipment is fixed. The wire should be connected to a metal for connectivity and not to a fiber glass or plastic piece.
Fourth Step: Next, you require connecting its 12 constant and also the ignition current wires to the car stereo system. These will give power supply to the car stereo system. To make sure that the connections are done properly, you should refer to the instructions.
Fifth Step: Slide in the car stereo system into the brackets for mounting, which you received with car stereo system, after fixing the harness in the dash board meant for the system. Do not fix the screws. You need to test the car stereo system. There is a provision for antenna wire connection on the backside of car stereo system. You can make a connection if an antenna is to be fixed.
Sixth and Final Step: When you have completed the aforesaid steps, connect the negative power cable of the car to its battery terminal then switch on your car stereo system and put on some music on it. Check the output and sound from all speakers. Ensure that all the speakers are working properly and the sound is good without noise or distortion. If the things are perfect you should fix the screws to secure the system onto dashboard of car.
Now you can enjoy the music in your car on you car stereo system.
