Kids love to create and what better time than around Valentine's Day! This article contains some easy Valentines crafts that kids will enjoy making.

Valentines Candy Ring

All you will need for this easy craft is 1/4 inch wide elastic, wrapped candies (red works best for Valentine's Day), and glue.

First, wrap a piece of elastic around the child's finger who will be wearing the ring. Make sure it's not too tight or it will cut off circulation. Overlap the edges just a bit and cut. Then sew the edges together with double-up thread. Place a wrapped candy on the table and put some glue on it. Place the sewn part of the elastic ring on top of the glue and allow the glue to dry. Now your child has a beautiful red candy ring to wear on Valentine's Day. These rings are also great to give as Valentines gifts or to make at parties!

Paper Plate Valentine's Day Card Holder

The supplies you will need are 2 red or pink paper plates, 3 feet of red ribbon, candy hearts, glue, and a hole punch.

Start by cutting one of the paper plates in half. Hold half of a paper plate front against the whole paper plate front. Using hole punch, punch holes approximately 1 inch apart all the way around the edge of the plates. Next, use the ribbon to lace through the paper holes all the way around, starting at the top. Leave enough ribbon at the top (approximately 6-8 inches) to tie into a knot so the craft can be hung. Decorate the front "1/2 paper plate" by gluing on candy hearts. The end result is a beautifully decorated hanging plate that has a pocket in it to hold all of your children's Valentine's Day cards.

These Valentines crafts for kids are easy and fun to make. The rings look very festive in their red wrappers. And the card holder can be put on your wall and cards added as they are received.
