Easy Ways to Attract the Opposite Sex

There are as many ways to be noticed as there are people in the world. Being seen by the right people is the first important step to starting a relationship.

With new connections in mind here are easy ways to attract the opposite sex.

Go out.

Mr./Ms. Right will not find you sitting on your couch. (unless you are seeking romance online) Call a friend and go out to a club or coffee shop. Sometimes just being in the right place at the right time is all it takes.

Network.

Everyone hates blind dates but your friends know people who know people. Connections are a great way to get to know like-minded people. Tell your friends you need a date and let them introduce you to someone they know. You could be 7 degrees from the love of your life.

Get a dog.

It's a cliché for a reason. People notice dogs. If you can't have one in your apartment, offer to walk a friend or neighbor's dog. The exercise and positive feeling walking a dog provides makes you instantly attractive to the opposite sex and gives them an opening to approach you.

Smile.

Many attractive people hide behind no expression at all. It's the easiest way to become invisible. A smile draws eyes in your direction. Everyone likes to be amused. Don't be afraid to smile when you see something adorable or when someone says something funny. Your smile will hold their attention until they figure out why you are smiling. (Quick but obvious eye contact will seal the deal.)

Dress the part.

If you are looking for a professional partner and you wear ratty old jeans and a twelve year old t-shirt, you will be ignored, just as if you wear a suit into a honky-tonk you will be seen as an intruder. Dress as if you are interviewing for a job. Jeans are fine for a warehouse position but if you want to get into position at a date's house, dress in the manner you want them to dress.

Seem wealthy.

People are naturally attracted to success. If you want to be successful in love, act as if you already are. Get your teeth whitened, soak up a little bit of sun, talk to a friend about your golf game or the last time you went boating, wear jewelry to lunch, expand your business vocabulary. (Be very careful not to seem pretentious and don't ever lie, but put your successes out for display in a subtle way and you will find that people with a similar mindset will take notice.)

Know things.

Everyone eavesdrops. Position yourself within earshot and tell a funny joke or relate some bit of information that people find it impossible not to comment on. Be careful not to choose a side when approaching a controversial subject, it will make you seem opinionated. Read the news daily or watch late night talk shows for shocking or interesting stories and be ready to talk about them in case you suddenly find yourself in a conversation with your love interest.

Getting noticed is the first step to getting to know someone. You can find a million ways to be seen, just be careful not to be seen as annoying and most people will give you a chance.
