Become involved in community activities and organizations. Being a member will keep you on the loop with the latest updates around your vicinity. Furthermore, weekly meetings will enable you to gain new friends and acquaintances.
Extend your help to neighbors who are in need.
Neighbors are like an extended family of sorts. Oftentimes, they look out for you and your family. During emergencies, see what you can do and offer help. Perhaps, a neighbor might need help with their front lawn, don't hesitate to lend a helping hand.
Take a walk around the neighborhood.
Take a walk and have your family tag along, if possible. Friendly neighbors will take notice of you by giving you a smile or a wave. Familiarize yourself with the new faces in your new community.
These tips will surely get you new friends in your new neighborhood in no time. Making friends with your neighbors is not very hard especially if you are naturally amicable and pleasant. Later, you and your neighbor will be looking back on your first meeting that gave way to a blossoming friendship you have now.
