Well, great news for you because there are ways that you can make money without having to hold a job, which would require transportation and actually getting hired. Primarily though, managers choose not to hire minors because of the responsibilities that come with it and also due to the fact that they don't have enough experience out in the work force. I think it's ridiculous how managers don't hire minors for the lack of experience because you have to get hired to get experience. You have to start somewhere, don't you? If it's summer time and you live in an area with warm weather, then you can offer lawn services to your neighborhood. You can do things such as mow lawns, weed gardens, plant, or even clean out sheds and garages to make money! To start off, you should make flyers to advertise your services. You can place such flyers under doors or on cars. You might also consider knocking door to door to actually meet your neighbors and customers and offer your services. Besides, meeting the actual person performing the services reassures your customers that you're honest about working for them. You can charge by the hour or the task being completed.

If you're an animal lover, then offering to walk dogs would be a great idea. Or if your neighbors are planning to go on vacation, offer to take care of their pet(s) for them while they're gone! It'll be tons of fun and it'll be an excellent way for you to learn some responsibilities.

Do you have old DVDs, CDs, or books that you no longer find value in anymore? Anything that you can find gathering dust in your room or garage is perfect.
