Try these easy recipes if you need appetizers for your New Year's Eve party! Included are New Year's Party Cheese Ball, Spicy Meatballs with Cranberry Sauce, and Hazelnut Cheese Balls.

New Year's Party Cheese Ball

2 eight-ounce packages cream cheese
3/4 cup crumbled blue cheese
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
ΒΌ cup minced onion
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
parsley flakes

Place cheese in small mixing bowl, let stand at room temperature until softened. Add onion and Worcestershire sauce; blend on low speed. Beat on medium speed until fluffy, scraping side and bottom of bowl. Cover and chill at least 8 hours. Shape into 1 large ball or into 30 1-inch balls. Roll in parsley and place on serving plate. To serve small balls, insert a pick in each and serve with crackers. Arrange crackers around large ball and serve as a spread.

Spicy Meatballs with Cranberry Sauce

48 meatballs, pre-cooked and thawed
16 ounces cranberry sauce
12 ounces chili sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 teaspoons lemon juice

In a saucepan add cranberry sauce, chili sauce, brown sugar, and lemon juice. Heat on medium stirring ingredients until combined. In a separate baking dish, place thawed meatballs, add the cranberry sauce, and bake for 45 minutes. Remove meatballs and sauce, placing the contents into a slow cooker, a chafing dish, or a similar heated pot to keep the meatballs warm as they are placed on the table for serving.

Hazelnut Cheese Balls

8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
4 ounces butter, softened
2/3 cup flour
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup hazelnuts, toasted and finely ground
dash hot pepper sauce
whole hazelnuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Blend all the ingredients together to form small balls. Press a whole hazelnut into the center of each ball. Place on greased cookie sheet and bake for 15 minutes. Serve hot.
