Our two times at T * Bones have been very similar. We walked into a fairly large restaurant decorated in steakhouse style. Lassos, moose, and signs decorated the wall. There was a bar as we walked in and a mostly young - 20 to 30 - year old crowd with a smattering of families. A huge bucket of peanuts awaited us and we made use of the fill-the-bowl up yourself policy. Both times we sat at a table for 10. The most recent time there were T-shirts and bottle openers for our taking. Balloons were attached to the chairs.
T Bones is located at 22 Main Street in Plymouth, MA. They will cater. . Call them at (508) 747-2667.
Not surprisingly most of the items are meat based though there are dishes such as fish and chips ($9.95) and chicken fajitas ($8.95). The prices are reasonable no matter what you choose. They offer 11 appetizers, sandwiches, salads, and of course ribs. We were there for platters which are under catering on the online menu.
T-Bones has events such as "girls night out, "trivia night," and Fridays are DJ night.
Our napkins as is true of all the tables were paper towels on a holder. On the second visit we were served the most delicious cornbread with cinnamon butter on top. You can get this as a side and I highly recommend it. The reason there has to be increments of five is because the servings are for five people although during our second visit we got a third bread and on our first visit we get a third platter. I asked for potatoes without bacon and was given a huge portion.
After the bread each person is given a shot of alcohol. What it is we don't know. It was different each time. T * Bones obviously hopes people will drink or else they have to be losing money. Each time it cost us $10 per couple! Another reason for their generosity is that they get people coming back and people telling friends to go. I do hope it is working. It is a fun restaurant.
Our servers have been very pleasant and have tried to accommodate our crazy crowd as much as possible. We had two platters which is really enough for 10 people. On it there are at least a half dozen sliced wedges of potato with bacon (Thus my request) and cheese. These are scrumptious. There are about half a dozen very large breaded boneless chicken pieces. Spicy Buffalo wings are in a mound. There are so many I can't count and come with a blue cheese dressing and also a sweet and sour type dressing. Finally there is a huge amount of tortillas with cheese, sour cream, and salsa.
Finally the birthday person is given a cake with candles to blow out and a little bit of singing. The cake isn't large but enough for ten people to have a piece. All in all a good experience. I'm looking forward to our next party in a couple of weeks.
