Eat Your Funky Monkey! Snacks that Is

People love to snack! Snack foods are big business in the United States and around the world. People are seeking a healthy alternative to snacks. This is why I'd like to introduce you to Funky Monkey Snacks! Just recently I purchased a bag of Funky Monkey Bananamon as a snack and thought I would give an honest review of the product.

Funky Monkey Snacks is a company out of the city of Fishers. Their snack flavors include Bananamon, Applemon, Carnival Mix, JiveALime, MangoOJ, Pink Pineapple, and Purple Funk. It looks like a company that is really driven to provide healthy snacks to children and adults alike.

Funky Monkey Snacks explains that the reason why they are the best snacks is due to the fact that they freeze dry their fruits. Fruit loses it's nutritional value when it's cooked under high heat unless the fruit is cooked on the grill.So Funky Monkey offers a snack that:

Unfortunately the product is not ecologically friendly. The product is made in Brazil where the fruit is grown. Then Funky Monkey Snacks are shipped to the United States to be sold. Just think of the carbon footprint this company is making on the world.

Will kids and adults like Funky Monkey Bananamon? The packaging is cool, fun, and easy to carry around. I think that they will like the crunch they get from the banana pieces. The only problem that I had with this Funky Monkey snack is the use of cinnamon. The flavoring made the banana pieces taste like they were stale even though the item was good for another year.

I do like the crunch of the Bananamon snack pieces. I could see putting this product in their trail mix or just having them available to snack on at work. If Funky Monkey Snacks would perhaps change the Banana recipe to perhaps banana and pineapple, I think they would have a better product.
