Eat a Lot of Food to Lose Weight

How Eating a Lot Will Keep You Thin

Tom Servo
I'm not going to lie to you; if you starve yourself everyday, you will lose weight. The only problem is you won't just lose fat. You'll lose muscle, you'll lose your appetite and become anorexic, and eventually you'll lose your health, entirely, due to malnutrition. So, if you want to get sickly thin and end up in a hospital, just don't eat. If you want to lose weight the healthy way and look like a model, eat a lot of food and eat often.

It's not how much you eat, but what you eat and how often you eat it that matters. Sure, if you eat a lot of hamburgers, you're going to get fat, but if you eat a lot of broccoli, you're going to lose weight. Eating large quantities of healthy foods will help keep your metabolism revved all day long. Eating to little food, healthy or otherwise, will send your body into starvation mode, and it will want to hang on to it's fat.

To keep your bodies metabolism buzzing at a good rate all day long, you should try to consume 4 to 5 healthy meals per day. Each meal should be around 300 - 500 calories. If you do the math, which is pretty easy (400 x 5), you'll notice that this puts you right at 2000 calories for the day. Here are some good examples of the meals you can eat:

Breakfast: 2 eggs and a bowl of oat meal.

Brunch: A granola bar and fruit smoothy.

Lunch: All natural peanut butter on 2 slices of wheat toast.

Dinner: Whole wheat pasta with vegetables, and a cut of lean meant (chicken or fish) or grilled tofu.

You'd probably be surprised how full these four meals would keep you throughout the day. Each meal above is packed with fiber, complex carbs, vitamins, and protein; all the good stuff you need to stay fit. It only took me a minute to think up those meals. You could easily create your own variations. If you combine a diet like this with 3 - 4 days of cardio and weight training, you'll be fit as a fiddle.
