Eat More Exercise Less Lose Weight

I was watching TV the other day and stumbled upon a diet and exercise infomercial that is very misleading. The infomercial claims that you can lose weight by eating more and exercising less. Everyone loves food and hates exercise, so these claims will draw in a lot of people. People who are expecting to eat whatever they want whenever they want with very little exercise. Obviously that is not going to work considering that "more food, less exercise" is the exact game plan that made you fat in the first place. What the program actually does is have you eat more TIMES a day but just smaller portions, and gives you a list of the exercises that are supposed to be more efficient rather than you doing a bunch of unnecessary ones that won't help you reach your goals. So you can see where that is misleading. Now as far as their exercise programs go, they give you a little color coded flip book with each color being a specific goal and a list of exercises to do in order to achieve that goal. You should also take into account that this program doesn't cover personal ailments of people such as arthritis, osteoporosis, asthma, heart problems, etc.

I recommend eating small portion meals more often a day instead of a few large meals. This will give you more energy throughout the day because your body will be using less energy to digest small portions and will more efficiently deliver nutrients through out the body as opposed to eating large portions and having your body sputter out and just store the left over nutrients as fat. This idea has been around for a while. It's just that now someone decided to make an infomercial about it and try to pass it off has a break through advancement in nutrition. So even though the nutrition portion of the "system" will help you lose weight and feel better it's still not worth purchasing this expensive program.

Now I haven't personally looked at the flip book, but if you do the same exercise program without mixing it up by the 8th week you will hit a wall where your progress will slow down tremendously. This exercise program may start out with a bang but will ultimately fizzle out, get you frustrated, and probably make you give up on exercise. It's the good smelling used car with a nice new paint job and high mileage. At first it looks pretty and gets you everywhere you need to go, but then just when you're getting comfortable with it you break down and are at square one all over again.

I can't write this in the third person... I just can't. To do so would make me feel like a douche big enough to accommodate Madonna. My articles are a change of pace from what you can expect anywhere else. M...  View profile
