eBay Car Selling Tips

Rik Rodriguez
Selling your car can be a daunting task. It's not enough any more to just list it in the local newspaper, 4-5 people show up in a few weeks time and you take the best offer. Car sales are down everywhere in the USA. While their are many places to sell your car online, I have sold several cars on eBay. There is not a trick really, just a few basic rules of thumb. First I would take at least a dozen pictures of the cars interior and exterior.

Trunk and engine included. So rule # 1 is have plenty of pictures. In you do not want to pay for extra pictures, there are plenty of places on line that you can host more pictures for your car free. Next I would find all the paper work that goes along with your car and put it in one place. Most people already have their titles tucked away somewhere along with their maintenance records. If you still have the original manual that comes with the car that would be great also.

Before you make your listing on Ebay make sure that everything works on your car, if not than state in your listing the item that needs repair. Always be honest with your description as you would want someone to be honest if you were buying the vehicle. If you describe the vehicle correctly and you have pictures of the car that reflect your story. You will usually have very little issues selling a car on Ebay. Just fill out all the information accurately and honestly and run your auction for 7 days. This gives people more of a chance to visit your auction.

Answer all the questions from the watchers and bidders promptly and honestly. Do not run an auction and be away from your computer for several days. This will usually not sit good with Ebayers. I like to answer any email from people interested the same day. Better yet the same hour when they are still sitting at the computer. This normally will instill confidence in your buyer and you will have less issues in the long run selling more expensive items. Use common sense when selling on Ebay and treat people like you would want to be treated and you will have no problems selling your car or any other items on Ebay.
