Nearly 10,000 eBay buyers and sellers are expected to attend the company's annual Community gathering, eBay Live, which is being held in Boston at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center on June 14th through June 17th. The education event is an opportunity for sellers to meet eBay staff and each other while picking up hints and tips on how to build a better eBay business.

For those that buy and sell online, eBay means big business with millions of transactions per year. Sellers, in particular, flock to this event to keep up to date on the changes and challenges they are facing. Whether it's the ever increasing cost of shipping or the best way to deal with foreign customers, there is a constant need for more insight.

Educational session tracks include: Beyond the Basics, Business, Buying, Multi-Channel Selling, Selling Basics, Trust & Safety. Featured speakers include financial guru Suze Orman and uber-blogger Seth Godin. Meg Whitman, eBay's CEO, is also scheduled to address the attendees with a Keynote Address at the conclusion of the first day of the event.

Attendees will have access to over 150 sessions, panels, roundtables, and hands-on computer labs covering topics like:

-How to Effectively Market your eBay Store
-The Basics of Selling on eBay
-Basic Digital Photography to Make You an eBay PowerSeller!
-Business Planning & Financial Management for Success
-Hands-On Demo: how to Do Photoshop Magic for eBay
-Understanding & Measuring the Profitability of Your Business on eBay
-7 Steps to Multi-Channel Selling

On top of the educational sessions, there is an expo where vendors can display their tools geared towards easing the life of an eBay entrepreneur. Well known companies represented include the event's title sponsor, the USPS, Entrepreneur Magazine, Pitney Bowes, UPS, Verisign, and OfficeMax. In addition, there are smaller companies serving the eBay niche, including "The Queen of Auctions," Lynne Dralle. Ms. Dralle, a buyer and seller on eBay for 7 years, sells a product called "eBay Boot Camp in a Box" where she claims to help wannabe power sellers how to build a successful eBay business yielding $100,000+ per year.
If you are in the Boston area, it's not too late to register. On-site registration is $100 per person and includes all of the sessions. Parking is $10 and the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center is a short walk from South Station (MBTA Red Line and Amtrak).

There's more than just learning at eBay Live. The final event of the conference is a closing gala featuring the legendary Kool & the Gang.
