Ebay to Go Launched for Auction Sellers & Webmasters

Place 'Ebay to Go' on Any Web Page and Lead Buyers to Your Auction Listings

Assoc Content
eBay To Go is a selection of Flash widgets you can place on any web page that will display either a single auction listing, up to ten multiple listings or several results returned by a favoured eBay search term.

This is how the eBay To Go concept is introduced in the site FAQs; "Have you ever found something on eBay that you really wanted to let your friends know about? If so, eBay To Go is for you. It's a fun and easy way for you to share the interesting things you've discovered on eBay and personalize your blog, social networking page or website.

Be aware that eBay are relying on up to date Flash technology to display these widgets but, assuming the viewer has the required browser ability, the results are very pleasing to the eye. Any eBay seller with access to a web page would be wise to consider driving traffic to their listings using this free assistance.

Setting up your widget is a very simple process and I have to commend eBay for the user friendliness. You are guided through a few set up pages until presented with the code needed to paste in to your website wherever you want the display embedded. For an average Internet user I can't see why it should take more than a few minutes to get a widget coded and up on a website.

Another useful feature is the supplied code can be tailored to suit your social site page, for example MySpace, or a range of blogging software including Blogger, Wordpress or TypePad.

My conclusion is that I believe the auction giant has come up with a real winner with eBay To Go. I expect to see many examples of these widgets appear in the coming weeks and months and eBay will be richly rewarded with those extra inbound links from right across the Internet.

While it is true to say eBay isn't a cheap site to use anymore, it is also true that sellers get what they pay for from an auction site. Sell thru rates are still lagging well behind eBay on virtually every site I look at so, if you are keener to sell than you are to list, eBay is still the place to be.

Since the fvf increase I'm now looking for a good alternative to eBay such as eBid etc.

I found out more about ebid at http://www.ukebid.com

eBid has been running for 10 years and operates sites for 14 countries so like eBay it's a trusted and well established auction site and not a "Here today gone tomorrow" auction site.
