Ebay Representative Chat

Carly Love
I was recently having trouble with my Ebay and PayPal account. Not a single person that I could get in contact with it could answer my questions about how to fix my problem. The only solution to my problem that I could find was to use Ebay Interactive Help, or chatting with an Ebay employee. I have done this several times, and only one of the times, was this chat session successful.

My question was that when I tried to pay for an Ebay item with my PayPal account, it said that I needed to enter a credit card number to validate my shipping and mailing address, and I wanted to know if it would ever charge anything to the credit card. When I asked the Ebay employee my question, it was as if they did not understand me, or they did not get what I was trying to do or say. They asked me obvious and unintelligent questions about what I wanted, and if I needed a tutorial or directions on how to do things on Ebay, when my question was not about anything having to do with anything on the actual Ebay page. It took the person that I was talking to so long to even figure out what I wanted and needed help with. Even after they figured out what I needed, they would not or could not, not sure which one, give me a clear answer. It took me over thirty minutes of talking with this Ebay employee to get any information that was even relevant to my problem. When I did get the information that I needed, the answer was not clear. I was still unsure what I needed to do.

If anybody else has this question, I would recommend not to turn to Ebay Interactive Help for your answer. If your PayPal account will not let you pay for an item because you need to enter a credit card number to validate your shipping address, the answer is simple. You do need to enter a valid credit card number. It will not charge any amount of money to your card. To start with it may charge one dollar to make sure it is your personal credit card, but within one or two weeks, it should release your one dollar charge back to you, your credit card, or your bank.
