EBook Review: Bob Grant's The Women Men Adore...and Never Want to Leave

Shows a Woman How to Understand a Man and Even Influence a Man in Her Favor

Tamara Hardison
The literary world is becoming more and more populated these days with books offering relationship advice for the married woman, or the woman in a relationship on how to understand a man and influence a man, and advice on how to capture the man of your dreams for the single woman. Bob Grant's ebook, The Women Men Adore...and Never Want to Leave, stands out among many as one offering very unique relationship advice, ideas, and insights for both the woman in a relationship and the single woman on understanding what a man really wants in a woman, being the type of woman a man wants, and influencing a man in woman's favor.

Bob Grant not gives relationship advice to women on how to stop behaving in patterns that create more emotional distance between women and men, such as acting "needy," "nagging," and "bitchy"-which is definitely not what a man wants-he also redefines their causes making it so much easier to get out and stay out of these negative emotional states and be the type of woman a man wants. He defines feeling needy, nagging, and being bitchy as the result of suppressing your feelings. Another one of the gems of relationship advice you'll find in Bob Grant's ebook is the revelation that a woman's feelings are actually attractive to a man, so long as she knows how to address them in the correct manner. A woman can actually influence a man can with her feelings and provoke him to want to do what he can to make a situation better for her, so long as the woman knows how not to turn him into her enemy by pointing out what he has done wrong, and knows how to express her feelings in a direct, concise, and even soft and gentle manner.

Bob Grant's best relationship advice is that this women's power to influence a man is actually very attractive to a man because a woman who can express her feelings is being sincere, and men are attracted to sincerity. A sincere woman is the type of woman a man wants and a woman who understands a man in this way has a very powerful tool. It is also attractive because suppressing feelings, or expressing them in a way that a man cannot relate to, creates emotional distance, and emotional distance is not attractive. Also, Bob Grant's relationship advice is that not addressing your feelings and thereby creating emotional distance will mean that the couple will have needs that will go unmet. When a woman suppresses her feelings and leaves her feelings unmet, they will grow in intensity and she will eventually blow up. When she blows up she appears to be a "witch," "bitchy," or a "nag." Plus, if a woman suppresses her feelings while continuing to give, she will appear to be "needy."

Bob Grant's new definitions of being needy and bitchy are far more applicable than definitions you'll find in other relationship books, such as Christian Carter's ebook, How to Catch Him and Keep Him, who only defines neediness as a lack of security and what happens when a woman ceases to put as much value on her own personal interests as she does on the relationship. While this may be true, it does not sufficiently address how to deal with your insecurities and it certainly doesn't address the issue of how to get a man to fulfill your unfulfilled needs. Carter even fails to define bitchiness; he only states that this is not what men relate to in the long term. Thus, if you want to learn how addressing your feelings will improve your relationships with men, read Bob Grant's ebook, The Women Men Adore...and Never Want to Leave.

Another aspect of Bob Grant's great relationship advice deals with the issue of giving and receiving. Bob Grant states that people have natural tendencies toward either giving or receiving. His relationship advice states that, usually, women who are having relationship problems are giving to others and their man so much that they're empty and warn out; they are either having difficulty receiving, such as accepting others' assessments of what's good in them, or they are having difficulty getting a man to give to them the things they need by using a man's natural and irritating tendencies, like avoiding things and going off by themselves, to their own advantage. Bob Grant's relationship advice book states that men adore women who know how to receive.

Bob Grant's ebook, The Women Men Adore, is very well written, well structured, and very readable. The only flaw is that the book is advertised as being for both single women and women who are already in relationships: While he certainly does mention the single woman sporadically, and while it can be inferred that the principles, or relationship advice Grant spells out for women in relationships can also be applied to single women to help them catch the man and keep him, it would have been nice to see one, or even a few chapters completely devoted to the single woman.

All in all, The Women Men Adore...And Never Want to Leave, is a very enlightening ebook filled with useful relationship advice for the woman who wants to learn how to influence a man, what increases confidence, what men are attracted to, how to relate to men, how to share their feelings in ways that men will actually listen and respond to, and how to get men to start giving you what you need. While I would certainly recommend The Women Men Adore...and Never Want to Leave to my married friends as a stand alone to help them learn how to understand men, and be the type of woman men adore, I would also gladly recommend it to my single friends, but I would also recommend accompaniments, such as Christian Carter's Catch Him...And Keep Him, or even other books that Bob Grant lists in his appendix.

Bob Grant misleads the public by labeling himself as the "Relationship Doctor." Unlike the accomplished author of "Men Are From Mars" Dr. John Gray, Grant does not have the education to back his self-label and should be prevented from presenting himself using those terms. Surely it must be a violation of the terms of license granted by his state? People who are vulnerable will be confused into believing he has more education that he really does.

Don't waste your money on this book. It tells you nothing you can't learn from "Getting to "I Do"" by Patricia Allen at a 1/4 of the price and it's much more informative. Do Not Waste Your Money!

Bob Grant is offensive and doesn't know what he is doing. If you read him, be careful to take his advice with a grain of salt. Only take to heart what feels right to you.
