E-Cards vs. Traditional Cards

These days, everything seems to be available right at your doorstep. Thanks to technology, almost everything is possible. Technology may seem advantageous, but there are a few disadvantages that are arising in terms of interaction and communication with your loved ones. Back in the day, life use to be so personal and intimate wherein everything you would do required much more physical effort which has now been eliminated by technology.

Way back before, on a special occasion, cards were given out, with a personal handwritten message to the recipient. Now, with just one click of the mouse, you'll be able to pull up several sites that offer electronic cards and send a friend a card instantly. This may seem expensive but do not be fooled by these websites, some charge a membership while there are so many that are free and of the same quality.

Electronic cards or E-Cards are just like the traditional cards only, being sent using the internet, just more audio and visual effects. More often than not, E-cards are sent through email and yes, you can choose from different occasions to different designs when creating an E-Card. Although, debate still continue about which is better, an E-Cards seem to have boosted up in the market leaving traditional cards a bit unwanted. But in my opinion, E-Cards are fun and great, sometimes funny but still lack one aspect that traditional Cards have, which is sincerity. Simply, because of the handwritten message as oppose to something that could've been copy pasted.

Electronic Cards may come cheaper and be environment friendly as compared to Traditional Cards, which again is another advantage of these E-Cards. They are cheaper simply because they are free online and environment friendly because paper is not needed. Just be sure that you're visiting the right sites on E-Cards because like mentioned above, some sites come with fees and charges.

Whether it is through a traditional card or an E- Card, reaching out to your loved one especially on a special event in their life is what matters the most. Regardless, of the price, and the physical appearance of your card, the effort of sending says enough.
