Echo Falls Cabin Makes for a Great Getaway in Natural Bridge, KY

Echo Falls Cabin is a beautiful log cabin located in the Natural Bridge/Red River Gorge area of
Kentucky. Set within a cliff face with its own lighted waterfall, this very secluded cabin is perfect for a romantic weekend getaway.

The cabin features a full kitchen, 2 full baths (one with a shower, one with 2-person whirlpool
tub), Satellite TV (with a VERY limited selection of channels) and a gas log fireplace. There is a king-size bed in the loft, which also contains the whirlpool bath and a small deck on the back with a gorgeous view of the cliff face and waterfall. The back deck was easily our favorite part of the cabin!

Combine the large, fully-equipped kitchen with the washer and dryer and the amenities become perfect for a full-week stay at Echo Falls. The cabin is dog friendly and even includes food and water bowls for the proverbial Fido.

While copious opportunities for hiking and other outdoor activities exist in both the Red River
Gorge and Natural Bridge State Resort Park, we were compelled to stay at the cabin and simply hike around the surrounding area which is set within a cliff-sided valley with a small lake. The general topography is very similar to the Hocking Hills region of Southeast Ohio, with recess caves and rock outcroppings aplenty.

The cabin's decor is a wood-workers dream. Handmade stairs and furniture give off the air of a nice, unpretentious "Appalachian Chic". We could have done without the fake plastic trees(cue Thom Yorke), but I'm sure it makes cabin maintenance a little easier.

The cabin is about 5 miles off of the nearest Kentucky State Highway on a winding, hilly
single-lane gravel road, so folks with 4-wheel drive vehicles will have the easiest access to and from the cabin.
