Now, if any of you, like me, have tried organic deodorant in the past you may be a little skeptical, there "natural sweat stoppers" have always left something to be desired- and while I would use them every once in a while- I would not dare to use them in the gym or on a date! But recently some new ones have come onto the market that work a lot better! How do I know? Well, I rolled them on, hit the gym, and no one around me looked grossed out! Seriously though, these new formulas in organic deodorants are working very well, and I would say as good as my "non-natural" deodorant. Among the best, I have found are Nature's Gate Organics Fruit Blend Deodorant ($5.50), a stick that uses baking soda to banish odors and organic fruit, floral, and herbal extracts for scent. And also Erbaviva Organic Deodorant ($16), a spray mist that combines ingredients like grain alcohol, sage, lemon peel, and patchouli and tea tree oils.
Remember, we all have a different chemical makeup, and so like with regular deodorant, we need to find the one that works best for us. There are a lot of prices organic deodorants out there (I actually got the Erbaviva Organic Deodorant as a sample, I would never in my life spend $16 on deodorant!) And the good news is I found that the cheaper brand worked just as well for me. Many of these companies are willing to give free samples out, so take advantage of this to find the one that is right for you. There are also some great comparative shopping resources out there for organic deodorant (and organic products in general). One of my personal favorites is www.pristineplanet.com, who's slogan is "Eco Friendly Comparison Shopping"- and it is true, their products are great for the environment and they offer great deals!
