Want to encourage your children to go green and be environmentally conscious? Well, the best way to start then is when they're children by teaching them green values. One great green parenting tip is to play eco-friendly games with your kids. What better way to instill green values and lessons in them than to do it the fun way with green games? Below is a list of my top three eco-friendly game ideas for green games for kids.
  1. Garden-Opoly. I first discovered this game at a local plant nursery when I was purchasing some seeds and other supplies for my garden. It was such a cute idea that I had to get it. This is a game that I found that most children love. It's just like monopoly except it is plant themed. Players buy gardens, clay pots, and greenhouses. Plus, there are challenges such as infestation and water bills. It helps teach children about the environment and money as well. This is one of my personal favorites.
  2. A Beautiful Place. This is an eco-game where the Earth has been harmed and all the players must try to restore the beauty back to the planet. This game teaches children the importance of respecting and preserving the environment through good deed ecology tokens and other concepts. Plus, it teaches them the power of cooperation by making it easier to save the planet when they band together.
  3. Xeko. This is a card game that has become quite popular as a green game. This is a trading card game that is a little bit more difficult to master. I would only recommend it for children ten and older. It teaches children about endangered species and ecology. It comes is several different themes with different missions and objectives, so it's quite versatile. Plus, the cards are actually made from eco-friendly materials. The cards themselves are made from recycled stock print, and the ink is soy based.

Those are my top three eco-friendly green games for kids. I have found that most kids love them. And the best thing is that they teach children early on about the importance of conserving the environment. It instills green values in them by teaching them about ecology and makes them environmentally aware of pollution and how to help prevent it. Green games are a great way to encourage your children to maintain a green and eco-friendly lifestyle. Plus, you can all have fun doing it!
