Pull toy
If you want to make a pull toy, make it an eco-friendly one by using some old sheets or t-shirts you no longer want. Start by shredding the old items then tying the shreds into a knot at one end. You can either separate all the pieces into two sections and twist them together or you can separate them into three and braid the pieces. Whichever option you choose, make sure you form the toy very tightly. When you get to the end, knot it again. Check the toy to make sure it is tight enough before giving it to your dog.
Dog Biscuits and dog Food
There are plenty of books that you can look through in order to find the perfect recipes. Not only are homemade treats and dog food great to give your pet, but it also makes a nice gift to give to someone else's. Before preparing the biscuits and food, make sure to consult your vet first to discuss if you need to add any powdered vitamins to the recipe and which ones would be best for your pet. Check your local library for books that you can rent out.
Dog Bed
Dog's scratch at their beds, lay or step on them, and sometimes get some type of bodily fluid on it. Dog beds can take a beating, which means that you need something strong to stand up to it. Take an old pillow case, sew a zipper onto the open end of it and stuff it with old sheets, blankets or t-shirts that you no longer use. Not only can the outside of the pillowcase be washed, but everything inside of it can as well. If you do not want to use an old pillowcase, sew together some old sheets, blankets or t-shirts for the outside. Making the dog bed at home is an eco-friendly way to use cloth items you no longer want in order to make an item that your dog needs.
Making eco-friendly gifts for a dog at home is a great way to do some good for the environment as well as for the special dog in your life. The gifts will not cost you a lot money, if any at all, and you can put them together with a lot of love.

I've long used single socks (you know, where the dryer "ate" the mate) to make pull toys for my dogs. I put a tennis ball inside and knot the open end. Haven't met a dog who didn't like it.
