Eco-Friendly Wedding Gifts: Go Green

Lami Eyer
Green wedding gifts make conscientious and thoughtful presents; they not only express your affection for the newlyweds but they also reflect your commitment to our ecosystem.

If you are looking for eco-friendly wedding gift ideas, try the following.

• Eco-friendly furnishings like mats, chairs, table-lamps, coasters, placemats and rugs made from natural and renewable materials like bamboo, jute, recycled wood, recycled paper, cotton, coconut, banana tree and jute make wonderful green wedding gifts. The materials are durable and they come in elegant designs. You can find these gifts for any budget ranging between $30 and $200.

• Organic skin care products, perfumes, scented candles and natural aroma oils for the bride and groom also make nice eco-friendly wedding gifts. For $30-$100, while filling up the newlyweds' lives with fragrance and comfort they also help their health and environment.

• Organic cotton throws, blankets and towels are very useful eco-friendly wedding gifts - you can find pleasing items within $10-$100. You could even personalize them for the newlyweds with a message.

• Gift an eco-friendly food basket made from bamboo, straw or cane. Fill it with organic goodies of your choice - chocolates, coffee, herbal teas, raw nuts, dry fruits, specialty cheese, snacks, etc. Line your basket with recyclable paper or cotton or silk cloth. Use your creativity to make the basket yourself to fit your budget.

• Eco-friendly totes and hand bags made from recycled materials and natural fibers also make good wedding gifts. You buy them for $20-$100.

You can find many of these gift items in stores like Whole Foods, or Amazon.

Before you buy your gift, check out the couple's wedding registry - buy them what they will find useful. Remember to wrap your eco-friendly wedding gift in green wrapping materials. Use recycled paper or organic cloth for wrapping and tie bows with colorful twine or silk. Add bells and glitter made of recycled aluminum. Leave a card inside to indicate that your gift is eco-friendly and come from natural and recycled materials.

Whatever gift you pick, what matters the most is that your eco-friendly wedding gift will effectively impress your message to go green on the newlyweds even if they are not environment enthusiasts.

A fantastic article showing ECO friendly forms to have a wedding while contributing towards the environment; a conscious level of concern for the future generations wellbeing. I digg it!

If anybody is interested my wife, Ashley is concerned by offering RESIN Chiavari chairs. They are recyclable and add toward Corporate Social Responsibility. Her website eco friendly chairs intoduces them.

Usually they are available to event planners and venues for rental and to purchase. I'm confident she could support private functions. Give her a call or drop her a line through the contact page.

    Peace!
