Economic Recovery in the United States Will Definitely Be Long Term

The American economy has struggled for dear life this last past decade. It went from being surplus in the mid 90s to a recession slowly heading into the early stages of a depression. We have all of some economists that are overly optimistic about an economic recovery. It is hard to be optimistic about a situation that has been weighed down by pessimism.

The American people have been plagued with the burden of this failed economy. Economists also prematurely predicted that the recession would be over. The stimulus package was supposed to be the answer to our economic woes but it proved to be very ineffective. Ben Bernanke, the current Fed chairman sold the American people a dream of a fast economic recovery; however, recovery efforts are not recovering so well. Recently he made the comment that the American economy might not see any signs of recovery within the next 5 years. Now the truth is finally coming out. The media constantly tries to feed the American people fudged numbers to try to keep everybody from an edge of panic. By trying to give people, a false sense of security does not make the situation any better. Is our own government expecting us to resolve a problem that we did not help create? They cannot possibly expect a bailout from us the taxpayers. This is highly unlikely considering the fact that there has been a significant decrease in assets while liabilities constantly continue to increase. High unemployment rates have become a thorn in the side of the United States. To make matters worse we continue to outsource our jobs overseas. The only country that seems to be benefiting the most from the economic downfall in the United States is China. We are 800 billion dollars in debt to China and counting. They continue to give the United States blank checks to do as it pleases. America has opened the door for China to do business in this country while the gratitude is not reciprocal. Americans are somewhat restricted when it comes to business opportunities in China. The American economy is in terrible shape. The recovery process will not be over night. It will take time for the U.S. to see financial atonement.
