Economics 2.0: Adapt to a Changing Economy

Don't believe the hype. We are actually in a time of great abundance. An abundance of energy, creative power and technology exists in the world now more than ever. While the outmoded constructs of greed and excess crumble around us, we have a unique opportunity to create something vastly different and immensely beautiful. Rather than looking at this economic situation as a dying caterpillar, I'm choosing to see it as an emerging butterfly.

As above, so below...and as below, so above.

New edge sciences like Fractal Geometry and Quantum Physics are proving this ism to ring more true than we realized. The more we peer into the depths of both the infinitely large and infinitely small, our greatest scientific minds are discovering first hand that, after all, all is one. Every construct of reality reflects a repeating geometric pattern (the fractal) that is self similar on every level. We now know that Einstein was right; the unifying field is the sole governing entity of the particle. With this knowledge, the entangled quandaries of the old paradigm unfold before us like a marvelous piece of art.

Pondering our present condition from this perspective, our economic woes make perfect sense. A living system, such as a human being, grows rapidly from birth until it reaches a point of maturity, and no longer needs to grow physically. If the organism does not stabilize growth, it will become so obese that it will die. The natural regulatory agents of living systems have intervened in our economic path towards such certain abominable fate. We've stuffed ourselves so full of the American lifestyle, humanity is now choking on its own fat. Time to exercise!

Now we just have to figure out how to stabilize our weight while providing for the needs, and, dare we say, wants, of every individual AND the whole.

Again, we can literally look within for the answers. The cells of our bodies get paid based on their service to the whole. Their "currency" is the energy-bearing molecule, ATP; a highly complex, powerful technology that provides the essential energy for every living organism in existence. It's no coincidence, then, that both energy and money are synonymous to power.

50 trillion cells share power in perfect harmony in our bodies, so long as the collective wisdom (the brain) guides them properly. And it does, with information and energy sharing technology so advanced modern science still doesn't fully grasp how it works. When we are in bliss, 50 trillion cells are in bliss without wars or departmentalized depravation. They delegate tasks and agree to function individually at their greatest potential to create a healthy organism. As different as the world may appear to a liver cell versus an eye cell, they access the central voice to accomplish an effective healthy organism. When we learn to access the collective wisdom of humanity, and every action aligns with the greater good, we will thrive individually in a diverse and highly technologically advanced society, just like our cells.

How do we turn this dying caterpillar into a butterfly? We go out on a limb. We redefine our system of exchange.

It can start like this: If I need my car fixed, I go to a mechanic who is seeking a hypnotherapist. Individuals trade skills, information and technology dollar for dollar, hour for hour. This means shedding the confines of debt and lending. What you give is what you get, and what's leftover goes to the whole. Instead of isolating and hoarding, we create a synthesis.

This is not communism. Some skills are more valuable and are rewarded accordingly. For example, a biochemical engineer's services require more resources than my hypnosis sessions. He would be paid accordingly just as a nerve cell receives more energy than a skin cell.

Picture humanity as one living being. Right now, some parts are abundantly obese and others are deprived and dying. It's just like the caterpillar in the chrysalis. Let us be the imaginal cells that go out on a limb to create a soaring work of beauty.
