Economy Friendly Cheap Thanksgiving Table Setting Ideas

You have invited your family over to spend Thanksgiving at your home this year and with our economy you need to stick to your budget, but would like a beautiful Thanksgiving table setting. You can easily work with what you have inside your home and what you can find outside of your home. You may even choose to ask your friends to borrow anything that you might not have. Whatever you can come up with that has the fall colors, you can use for your Thanksgiving table setting.

First, look around your home and in your storage for any Thanksgiving or fall color items that would work for your Thanksgiving table setting. You may have some Thanksgiving items from the years that have passed that you may have forgotten about in your attic, cellar, or garage. Many times we pack our holiday items and forget about them, but in our economy, this is the time to start digging for your holiday items. Look for all your tablecloths to see if they are still usable for your Thanksgiving table setting.

Next, go outside and find any natural, colorful items that you can find. During the fall, you can find many items such as pinecones, acorns, twigs, and leaves that are full of color. You can use all these items to place around your home and to use for your centerpiece.

You may also want to ask your neighbors, family or friends if they have anything that your can your for your Thanksgiving table setting that your can borrow and return after your Thanksgiving Day celebration. Many people are swapping and sharing during our economy and it helps everyone stay on a budget.

For your Thanksgiving table, lay down a tablecloth. If you found some pinecones, you can lay them around a plate and place a candle on the inside. You can place fresh leaves all around the table for your Thanksgiving table setting. You can even choose to find a nice thick branch outside and by using a glue gun, you can glue all your leaves, twigs, acorns, or whatever you may find on the thick branch for your Thanksgiving table setting centerpiece.

Another great idea for a Thanksgiving table setting is finding a basket and filling it with fruit, especially apples. This is the time of year that apples are in season and your table will look beautiful with a different variety of applies in a basket. You may want to buy some mini pumpkins and place them around the table.

Homemade Thanksgiving place cards are another great idea for your Thanksgiving table setting. You can easily use fall color construction paper and write their names on the paper and glue gun it to a color leaf. You can also find Thanksgiving place cards that you can print on your computer. After your print the place card, glue it on a color leaf and you will have a beautiful Thanksgiving place card holder.

The last item that you may choose for your Thanksgiving table setting is napkin holders or napkin rings.
