Huntington Beach, CA. has always been Surf City, USA. If you're looking for fun beaches, restaurants, retail stores, and endless attractions then Huntington Beach is the place to be. But as of lately, this beautiful city has focused less on the typical kinds of entertainment and has put effort towards promoting nature and wildlife to tourists. Instead of people wasting money on typical enjoyments, they can now have fun while preserving the earth. Huntington Beach is playing a big role on confronting the major issues this earth faces. With new green programs available, tourists are drawn to the efforts made by the city.

For those that love watching birds, this is the place to be. Huntington Beach happens to be the location where migrating birds visit. There are trails and telescopes to make viewing easier. As your exploring you can read about the different animals that reside there with the convenient information boards available. Their goal is to educate the community on the effect people have on the planet. It is located right off of the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) and Bolsa Chica State Beach. Just a couple miles south you can explore the Talbert Marsh Wetlands. Located right off of Brookhurst and PCH you can watch amazing birds such as: Shorebirds, pelicans, cormorants, leasterns and more.

The Huntington Central Park is located approx. a mile away from PCH off of Edwards Ave. While visiting the park you can visit the Shipley Nature Center. The center is made up of 18 acres of forestry. You can uncover a wide variety of wildlife like snakes, raccoons, turtles, frogs, toads, opossums, and coyotes.
