Ecstasy - the Happiness Drug

The drug I will be doing my review on is Ecstasy. The plan for this drug was it was suppose to be an appetite suppressant. To test this theory, therapists tested started testing it on patients. It was found that it was a stimulant used to confuse the brain to release more serotonin and dopamine to make the drug user feel more happy and energetic. The after effect of this is long term brain damage. Ecstasy is a synthetic drug, the chemical formula of Ecstasy is "C₁₁H₁₅NO₂" Carbon, Hydrogen and Nitrogen Oxygen, made by a drug company in Germany in 1914. Made by Safrole, colorless or slightly yellowish oil, extracted from the root-bark or the fruit or the sassafras plant.

Ecstasy is prohibited in all countries under the UN agreement (United Nations). This is because of the side effects caused by this drug. All stimulants cause your heart to beat faster, while doing other active things whilst on this drug; your heart will beat even faster. This will cause a great chance of having a heart attack. The high heart beat rate can increase their blood pressure, a high blood pressure can cause our blood vessels to burst, which will cause internal haemorrhaging which is fatal and deadly. Some methods of taking Ecstasy is: Taking 60 - 120mg pills, usually with an innocent image printed on the pill so it looks safe. It is also very frequently injected or snorted.

Taking illegal drugs can lead to many things. They will alter you, physically, mentally and socially. You are comparable to a rusty robot as soon as you decide to take the drug. Never again will you be able to do the things you wanted to do with the people you grew with, friends and family. You are affected physically by your appearance and actions, sometimes you will dig your skin like bugs live under there and no longer can you move around like you use to. Emotionally you will be challenged, in such ways; times you will be very aggressive and violent where other times you will be too depressed to take notice of anything. Socially, you will never be treated the same like your friends and family did again, you are partially disabled from communicating with anyone in the outside world. Illegal drugs are made to search and destroy people's lives by ripping their money and eating their life away.

If I just discovered one of my friends had an addiction to this drug, some possible support groups I would use to help my friend are: School Counsellors, Drug Addiction Help lines, local Therapists or Psychiatrists. Another idea may be is to give him a holiday, somewhere so he can relax because, he may have taken drugs because they was stressing or worried about something happening in the family. They could also try and talk to one of the experienced teachers at school, if that doesn't help, they should try and join a mental therapy class. There has also been reported that, kids taking drugs, have actually been sent to rehab. But I recommend that the best thing to do is just to talk to them my
