Education Nation Summit Starts September 27, 2010 at NBC Headquarters
Educators Throughout the United States Will Attend Education Nation in Hopes of Improving Education.
A successful educator from Baltimore principle Felicia Irick will be one of the educators speaking at Rockefeller Plaza. Felicia Irick is principle at Baltimore Westport Academy. Principle Irick turned the school around and during Education Nation she will explain how she turned that school around and how other educators can do the same with their school.
The conference will discuss ways to improve education and turn the schools around for the better. For the entire week NBC News will air special coverage shining a spotlight on educational issues. Activities include a two-day summit and nationally broadcast town hall Sunday October 3, 2010 moderated by Brian Williams.
Today will start the Education Nation with President Obama sitting down with Matt Lauer on the Today Show for live uninterrupted interview from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. President Obama's interview will be simulcast on MSNBC, CNBC and other NBC platforms.
This is a wonderful opportunity for educators to express how they turned education around and to teach other educators how to turn their schools around. By airing from New York City NBC will bring together local and national educators, students and parents as well as government leaders for what will prove to be beneficial for many educators.
During Education Nation there will be lessons to learn on improving our education system and that should be every ones top priority. Educators need ways to improve education and the way they teach. That will be the focus of Education Nation this week.
