Educational TV Shows for Children

With so many cartoons on nowadays for kids to see, it is sometimes hard to determine which ones are the best. You have Spongebob, Tom and Jerry, Curious George, The Flintstones, Rugrats all of these cartoons shows are okay, but they are not educational and can sometime show bad behavior. That is not what you would want your preschooler to watch. Shows like Dora the Explorer, The Wiggles, and Barney are all great educational shows that will educate your children on the basic learning skills.

The Disney channel network is also a great station for your little ones to watch. Disney channel have great programs for children and they are not being exposed to any type graphic footage. Sesame Street has been a favorite for kids for a very long time with there letter learning and counting system toddler will be learning alphabets in no time. The Doodle-bops is a show to check out this will also help your check to learn valuable skills.

Max and Ruby is a good show for kids that a little older then preschooler. This show normally have a charter name Max that will do things incorrectly, but the other character Ruby will show him the correct way. Go Diego Go is a wonderful show for learning this show is very similar to Dora the Explorer and is highly educational.

The Little Einsteins or Baby Einsteins are some of the best shows to watch your little one will get a huge joy out of this show. Not only will your child have a joy of watching this show while learning in the process. All the TV shows listed in this article are good for your kids to watch,educational, very entertaining and fun.

Disney also have song along videos on DVD that is very educational and easy for your kids to learn alphabets, numbers, and words. Blues Clues is another successful show that teaches kids to match up the correct item with specific clues.

Those are all great shows to allow your children to watch, but the best way for your child to learn is for you to teach them. Reading to them daily even singing to them will help. You have to limit television time and allow them to play other then being tuned in to the television often. Purchasing a leap frog is a marvelous idea this will help your child to learn with hands on experience. Educational shows are great because your child can interact with some of them, but the very best is self hands on experiences that they will learn from you and others that are around them. Education is the key to success, have fun seeing your little ones learn.
