E-E-T News: Dick Cheney Keeps Speaking, Sarah Palin Keeps Blogging & Joe Wilson Exiles His Wife
The News the Way I See It
(New York-NY) Sarah Palin, viewed as a possible Republican 2012 White House hopeful, gave yet another unsolicited opinion, this time on the special election in New York's 23rd congressional district. Palin endorsed candidate Doug Hoffman over Republican Dede Scozzafava. Scozzafava has been accused by members of the Republican Party of not being conservative enough. On her Facebook page, Palin wrote: "Doug Hoffman stands for the principles that all Republicans should share: smaller government, lower taxes, strong national defense, and a commitment to individual liberty." Palin then added, "Besides Scozzafava, that name just has way too many vowels for me to trust."
(Washington, D.C.) Addressing a conservative gathering, former Vice President Dick Cheney targeted the Obama administration's handling of Iraq and Afghanistan from the 'dithering' to send more troops to halting the Bush administration's use of "enhanced interrogation techniques". Cheney said, "to completely rule out enhanced interrogation in the future, in favor of half-measures, is unwise in the extreme. In the fight against terrorism, there is no middle ground." In his speech, former Vice President Cheney neglected to mention that in the Iraq fight against terrorism there were no WMD, no Al Qaeda and no Taliban.
(Washington, D.C.) Congressman Joe Wilson, who stepped into the national spotlight with his Tourette Syndrome like moment during President Barack Obama's speech, announced this week that his wife Roxanne has been diagnosed with swine flu. Congressman Greg Walden is the only member of Congress to have contracted swine flu. When late night show host Jay Leno alleged in his monologue that Wilson's wife may have contracted the H1NI virus from a "bi-partisan night with Walden", Wilson issued the following statement, "You lie!"
