Well, eFest just went uber! This year, the event is being produced by Randy Moore's new magazine, Positive Change. The venue is now the Sarasota Polo Club at Lakewood Ranch, and the event will have many more vendors than it could previously accommodate. Along with the usual music and vendors, there will be a host of panel discussions that involve local green living experts and a chance to win an electric bike. This year, eFest is also holding an eco-art contest to see who can create the best piece of art using mostly recycled and discarded items. This is sure to be a hit with Sarasota's thriving artist community.
For the kids, eFest will, of course, be providing plenty of environmentally oriented entertainment. Being the future of sustainability makes them very important guests. Fun for the kids includes Florida Power & Light's Captain Conservation, face painting, pirates, Mote Marine's portable aquarium, dog tricks, a climbing wall and much, much more.
Positive Change has done a great job of rallying support for this new, expanded event. It looks to be a grand new Sarasota tradition that we can all feel good about.
