Effective Business Communications

Dougie Lloyd
Customers and clients are what make your world go round. Keep in touch with them to let them know you're there to help and will do what it takes to help them out.

Pick up the phone and speak to clients about what's going on in the company. Send an email just to say hello. It is important to keep the doors open to communication. There are times when you need to visit the client and this is where some difficulties may arise.

It may take time out of your busy schedule especially if there is a great deal of distance between where your operate business and where the customer operates.

It can be very expensive if air travel is required, and then the hotel and food expense as well. You will have to multi-task to get other things done while travelling.

There is another option that doesn't cost anything and you don't have to leave your office. You can call pc to pc for free. More and more businesses are doing this now because it's quick, convenient and no charge. If both parties are using the same service then it is possible to fit a session into your schedules. You can also invite others into your conversation easily by incorporating the internet.

This allows other tasks to be done as well without having to leave the office, it is much better use of time and efforts.
Video calling is also another option that can be used but the equipment required must be available. It will need a web cam that is not too expensive. This is a very good option and again very cost efficient and no travel involved.

Go ahead and try this out for yourself. You'll get hooked on it especially when you see the benefits.
