Water Fast
One of the most effective methods of detoxification is going on a water fast. The body is composed of 70% water, without which the whole system of the human body can simply collapse. A water fast detox cleans out the body waste deposits. Drinking only water for seven days helps reduce the bodies need to carry out the metabolic process and the stress on the body is reduced. The body can then, focus on eliminating the various toxins and waste in the body more effectively. This will cause weakness and so the detoxification should not be done without informing the physician. However, after the week, the body will be rid of all toxins and the person on the water fast will feel revitalized and more energetic.
Raw Food Diet
A poor diet, not enough exercise and lack of sleep can affect the body's ability to get rid of toxins and this creates a lack of energy in a person. A raw food diet of fruit and vegetables, especially if they are organic, ensures that no additives enter the body. This reduces the level of toxins entering the body and helps the body 'de-stress' so that it can regain its equilibrium. The live enzymes in the fruit and vegetables will help the organs of the body become more effective.
Lemon, Water and Honey
While the water fast is the most effective detoxification method, a lemon, water and honey cleanse is easier. The honey and lemon provide the body with some extra nutrients and do not allow excessive weakness to set in. Lemon has some antioxidant properties that help cleanse the body faster, while the honey reduces the rate of cleansing so that the body is not overtaxed. This allows the body to heal while being cleansed and you will be able to sustain normal activities in a more successful manner.
No detoxification process should be done without the physicians approval and it should never be followed for more than 7 days.
