No matter what your mood or attitude there is a song or style of music to fit it. Need to chill out, get happy, wanna dance, or just listen and groove; there's a kind of music (and nowadays a radio, internet, TV, or satellite station) to fit. Music does not alter moods or the body's chemical responses in an unnatural way.
Drugs of any kind (legal, over the counter, or prescription) are designed to alter some bodily function in one way or another. People who partake in what is known as recreational drug use are intentionally trying to alter their mood. You can never overdose on music; but unfortunately it is all too easy to overdose (and die) on drugs.
I have never partaken in the use of mind altering or illegal drugs nor do I care to; but, I have felt a high from music that no drug could ever reach.
Music by its very nature is designed to make people feel good - to relax, enjoy, etc.
I do not see how anyone could ever believe that music can be as dangerous as any drug in this world.
