Egypt's Past Revealed at Valley of the Kings

Cэвбо
The Valley of the Kings was made famous by the discovery of Tutankhamen's tomb a.k.a. King Tut in 1922 which was propelled to the archives of mystery & awe by the Curse of the Pharaohs. Although there are curses written in the vicinity of the tombs, the curse does not make much sense as in the case of the deaths of those who discovered Tutankhamen's tomb; only 8 out 58 people died "mysteriously".

Tutankhamen's tomb, along with the rest of the Theban Necropolis had been pronounced as a World Heritage Site since 1979. Although it's famous, there are many other more fascinating tombs to visit in the Valley of the Kings partly due to its rich contents being transferred to the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. The Tomb of Ramesses VI is touted as the most interesting in the Valley, having the best preserved & complete decorative schemes among all the other tombs.

For an online virtual tour to find places to visit in the Valley of the Kings, I would recommend to visit an aerial view of the historical valley. Do consider taking a hike out of the Valley of the Kings as spectacular views awaits folks who go about it! One of the breathtaking views is of the female pharaoh, Hatshepsut's temple. More information about tour packages that include a day or two in the Valley of the Kings can be found on the Aaron & Sue Singleton website (http://www.1worldtours.com/Singletons2009.htm).

Ancient Egypt & Making the Floods

My speculative idea of how & why the pyramids were built. River Nile was important to the Egyptian civilizations. Floods gave fertile land to grow crops & farm & sustain the armies. Archaeological proof of pyramid builders suggested that Egypt was lavish with food & pyramid builders well fed with meats, vegetables, etc. The ancient Egyptian civilization was dependent on the annual floods to make the land fertile for farming & etc. The flood was actually needed to sustain the civilization. Hence, the ancient Egyptians had to make the floods.

Pyramids were Symbols of Power to Displace Earth (Soil)

The pyramids symbolized great movement of the earth's mass to MAKE the flood. Construction started from the first capping stone called the Pyramidium was highly revered by the Egyptian civilization as a gift of heaven & even magical. Monument of the monarch, kings & dynasty was to enforce the tradition of the Egyptians till death. As the giant granite stones slid into place, magic & beliefs kept the Egyptians unified & scared to question the Egyptian system. The Egyptian system kept the earth mass moving practices going in order to sustain the civilization.

Great Flood Washed Away the Greatest Egyptian Civilization

The great flood washed away the greatest Egyptian civilization, the educated & followers escaped by the knowledge that moving the great masses of earth over the centuries would eventually take its toll. The sudden fall of continuous rain stormed Ethiopia & the Nile was over flooded to the extent that all built pyramids were covered once again in mud & soil. All was lost, & the informed managed to escape the great flood on a sand bar over the river Nile into the Middle East, some west into other parts of North Africa & some southwards (Africa) into safety.
