EHarmony Dating Site

Online Dating Sites Are All the Same. They Make Money from Those Searching for Lifetime Partners

Sondra C
There are an abundance of dating sites on the Internet. Many have been around for years. Those men and women who had joined long ago, are probably no longer members. Their names remain as bait for unsuspecting folks searching for a lasting relationship.

eHarmony Dating Site is the same. Names of previous members remain. They are used to increase their membership total to encourage new singles to join.

I had been a member of eHarmony many years ago. They offered free membership at the time, and I signed on; filled out an extensive questionnaire, submitted a photo and contacted others. I waited for someone to contact me.

It rarely happened. Subsequently, I learned that while my name had been sent to many eligible men who had similar interests, their names had similiarly been sent to dozens of other women. I also found out that many of the men, like me, were free introductory members. They never paid or joined.

I never had a match, nor did I meet anyone through eHarmony. The pickings are too vast, and the probability of meeting a person with the same interests is improbable. i would not say it is impossible, but less for men looking for a mature women.

eHarmony is an honest and upfront dating site. They truly are geared to helping others find a marriage match. They have grown considerably since I had been a member. Their methods are updated, and the chances of two people meeting and getting married is a very good possiblity. However, the chances are still minimal. Each member receives a great many names of members to select from. Men being men, they tend search for much younger women and not the older ones who are close to their age.

Meeting a marriage match through eHarmony, or any other online dating site might never happen. Of course, there is always the possibility that it will, but it might not happen quickly. eHarmony, is well aware of this, and they generously offer renewal membership fees at a much lower price. it is their way of keeping their dating service growing.

eHarmony might be a different online dating service in many ways. However, when it comes right down to it, eHarmony is a business. If a match is made, it is good publicity. It also brings them additional memberships and more money.

Meet a potential life long partner in places like.

The Library

Most have upholstered chairs in the rear of the library. Select a few books from the bookshelf, pull up an easy chair and relax. There is always the possibility that someone single might join you and start a conversation. it is the same possibility that someone will reply to you on eHarmony. At least this way of meeting a potential mate is free.

The Bookstores

Most have a wifi hookup. Bring your laptop with you. Buy a cup of coffee, select a few magazines and sit down at an empty table and relax. If all of the tables are filled, find one that has a single man sitting alone. Ask if you could sit on the empty chair. Point out that there are no empty tables available. Make sure you smile.

I had met a few men this way. We talked about computers, specific Internet sites and his work. They mentioned that the bookstore is their office - this is where they meet clients and carry on business. There is the same possibility that you might meet someone at the bookstore, as there is by joining eHarmony. However, this method of is free.

Special Interest Groups

Meeting someone who has your same interests is what creates a lasting relationship. It does not always happen quickly, but while you wait, enjoy the group subject matter pertaining to your interest. At least it is a free way to meet a future mate

Never appear to be anxious when starting a conversation with a person who seems to be promising, This is the fastest way to scare them away. Be yourself; relax, talk about politics, books or the latest television shows. In other words-be you. This is a great way to meet someone to share your life with.

There is no sure-fire way to meet the man or woman of your dreams. Many meet in the supermarket, in the drugstore, in a shopping center coffee shop. However, sitting at home is not the answer. No one will find you there. Get out of the house, be available, and most of all smile and be polite to others. Eventually it will happen. When? This is unknown. However, the more visible one is, the greater the possibility. This is a given fact.

I've had friends who didn't get even one connection and others who got married via eHarmony so I guess the results can vary greatly.
