Eight Things You Can Learn from Lady Gaga and Beyonce's"Telephone" Music Video

The word has spread like wildfire. The Internet was already abuzz with anticipation about Lady Gaga's latest music video. "Telephone", featuring the infamous Beyoncé comes on the heels of yet another Gaga & Bey Bey collaboration. The video, just under 10 minutes long, is sort of like a mini-movie-blending all sorts of delicious (pun intended) pop-culture imagery. If you think the music video is very Quentin Tarantino-esque, then you would be correct. But the video is also jam-packed with a lot of other mindless tidbits...

1. Lady Gaga really gets her "Madonna" on something fierce in this video. She may not be overtly copying Ms. Ciccone. But during her initial stroll to her cellblock, Madge's essence (circa 1987) oozes from every pore. (Check the first dance routine after the 3 ½ minute mark.)

2. Gaga is really having fun with those hermaphrodite rumors. Whether you believe it or not, you've got to admit that this kind of "ambiguity" is great for her professional shtick.

3. Women's prisons have really cool looking uniforms.

4. At about 1:49 into the video, you can spot a really "androgynous" Snooki look-alike wearing a black bra and headband. I doubt this was done intentionally. But it's amusing nonetheless.

5. Millions of people are probably still trying to figure out the correlation between mass murder and receiving too many phone calls while at the nightclub.

6. The "Let's Make a Sandwich" dance sequence at 6 ½ minutes into the video is just begging to be converted into a Wonder Bread or Miracle Whip TV commercial. (Who knew that sandwich making could look so trendy?)

7. "Once you kill a cow, you gotta make a burger" will probably be the next catchphrase of 2010.

8. Beyoncé should pair up with Lady Gaga more often. Come to think of it, there are probably dozens of artists who should probably pop-up in a video with her. Gaga has a way of making just about any musician seem infinitely more interesting.
