Eighties Eye Makeup Tip Tutorial

Eighties makeup was bright, colorful and plenty creative. If you have a nostalgic twinge and want to don an eighties look or need some creative advice for costume party, we have a tutorial for you. Get your eye makeup authentic by wearing three or four shades of color and applying the right eyeliner. Our free eighties eye makeup tip tutorial will give you step-by-step instructions for getting this look for yourself. We offer color suggestions but you can choose any colors you like.

1. Apply foundation base to the eyelid area.

2. Sweep royal blue eyeshadow on your eyeshadow brush along the lower lids.

3. Dab a smaller brush into the cornflower blue shadow. Sweep the darker color along the crease from the outside of the eye inward.

4. Sweep on pink highlighting powder under the brow bone down to the cornflower blue. Blend the colors slightly.

5. Dab black eyeshadow on a cotton swab or a small brush. Dab it into the crease line between the cornflower blue and the royal blue. Use it sparingly.

6. Use a liner brush to sweep on a deep purple eyeshadow to the lash lines. Draw under the eye starting inward and brushing outward.

7. Brush out a two small lines on the outer corner of the eye. This small lines should be in a sideways "V" shape.

8. Darken your eyebrows with a eyebrow pencil.

9. Liquid line your eye on the top layer starting at the pupil and going outward.

10.Roll on black kohl liner to the water line of your lower lashes.

11.Apply mascara to your lashes from root to tip. Allow the mascara to dry and apply a second coat. To get the most mascara, use the tip of the wand first and touch it to the tips of your lashes. Then turn the wand sideways and add volume.
